Your foodie guide will greet you in front of Balkantina Gourmet Shop, in the central part of Sarajevo. After an introduction to Sarajevo's culture and cuisine, you will walk and browse Gradska Tržnica, the only indoor market hall in this part of Sarajevo. This amazing theatre looks like a building, was built and open in 1895, to be a new place for Sarajevan's to get the best possible fresh products for daily cooking. Since then, locals are here every day to purchase fresh young, smoked, cream cheese, most delicious delicacies such as Bosnian smoked sausages, smoked meat, fresh veal, beef, and chicken products. We will stop for small smoked meat and cheese tasting. We are continuing our tour outside the market. The smell of freshly ground coffee will take us into the shop, where the coffee production is, so you can immerse into our world of coffee. We will teach you the proper way to drink it and to enjoy it in one of the many coffee places. After coffee, you will stroll through the open green market. Coloured by fresh fruits and vegetables you will learn more about growing these, tips for making traditional dishes with them and find out, how in one country only in few kilometers distance people grow walnuts, apples, plums, grapes, olives, and pomegranates. To sum up our tour we are going to a special tea place, opened to be the only shop in the country to sell more than hundreds of different high qualities tea from all parts of the world.
